Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Lead Engineering Technician to join our 1st shift team. This position is based in our Raleigh, NC facility. In this function you will: Investigate and resolve quality issues in a production environment Create and update Standard Operating Procedures and documentation for new and existing assemblies Set-up and order new and/or specialized tooling (i.e. ESD, torque tools calibration, Crimping tools, Harness Supplies, etc.) Create and Implement Engineering Change Orders and JIRA’s Work with engineering to support new product designs and development Support NPI process via prototyping and modifying new products Control and Power Wire Harness Assembly and prototyping Support Pull Systems via Kanban set-up and labeling Promotes and maintains 5S+ standards throughout operations Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement All duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Company and employee objectives and/or goals When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of related experience and/ OR an associate degree from an accredited institution Advanced Skills Certifications in Soldering, Metal Modifications, Crimping and Schematics. SAP Proficient – Bill of materials, On hand balances, Component costing, Routings. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Raleigh, NC will be considered. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Position Criteria: Ability to read and interpret schematics Ability to distinguish colored wiring Ability to lift, stand, walk, and bend frequently Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AutoCAD, Enovia, Creo Modeling Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications Required working knowledge and experience with computers What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
