Eaton’s Commercial and Residential Division is currently seeking a Lead Facilities Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Hodges, SC facility. Site Overview: The Hodges location is 50 minutes from Greenville, SC, and located right off Hwy 25. The site was purchased and newly renovated in January 2021 for the Eaton Busway product line. The Busway business is growing and prides itself on our focus for continuous improvement. In 2022 we were awarded the divisional and sector Continuous Improvement Award related to our efforts on productivity improvements. Position Overview: In this role you will execute projects related to maintenance and improvement of the plant infrastructure. Research and offer solutions to resolve problems. Investigate, establish and implement requirements for facility infrastructure improvements and material handling systems. Lead CapEx projects. Investigate and troubleshoot MEP related technical problems. Evaluate and initiate orders for materials and equipment required for facility maintenance purposes. Support other processes of the facility such as manufacturing engineering, maintenance engineering, Human Resources and safety. In this function you will: Manage, maintain, and advance Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) systems, Fire Safety – Sprinkler System / Fume collection system / Factory alarm system / Site security infrastructure, knowledge in the installation and operation of air handlers, chilled water & heating systems, gas distribution systems (argon/ nitrogen), air compressors/dryers, air scrubbers, dust collectors, and wastewater management systems for industrial or commercial facilities. Manage contractors for Landscaping / Pest Control / Storm Water Maintenance / Parking Lot / Fencing perimeter / Dock systems / Cranes& Hoists, and maintenance on building systems and driving the execution and quality of all general, preventative, and emergency maintenance for building related equipment Manage procurement by creating biddable work packages, soliciting contractor bids and overseeing bid analysis to select high value contractors that can meet the schedule and manpower requirements. Manage facility-related projects through project management tools adhering to timelines Use and apply Industry 4.0 concepts towards Building Automation System to monitor and regulate electrical / mechanical equipment When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facility maintenance/engineering Minimum of 1 year experience managing people and/or leading project teams Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Construction Engineering and/or related field from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facility maintenance/project management Minimum of 1 year experience managing people and/or leading project teams Preferred qualifications: Master’s in engineering management / construction management / energy infrastructure Prior experience in managing the construction of MEP systems for medium to large industrial construction projects in Industrial Manufacturing Plants or equivalent high-tech facilities. Knowledge of environmental engineering sciences & non-conventional energy applications (solar / geo-thermal) Experience with Building automation systems (IIoT) / ISO 50001 – Energy Management Systems / LEED certification process / GHG reduction initiatives Ability to read, interpret, and manage changes to construction drawing packages (Life Safety systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Plumbing and Civil Scopes). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Projects (and or other project management tools), AutoCAD Position Criteria: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Projects (and or other project management tools), AutoCAD Effective communication skills (written &verbal) required Exposure / Knowledge of OSHA guidelines for Buildings, Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing Ability to manage conflict while maintaining a professional posture Must be responsive and able to address emergency actions in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation Demonstrated proficiency with basic manufacturing tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decision making.
