Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our team. This is a hybrid office/remote position that is based at our Electrical Headquarters location in Moon Township, PA. Relocation assistance will be provided. The FP&A Lead Analyst has financial planning and reporting responsibility within the Electrical Sector Americas Group. The Business has annual revenue of $7.0B. The business has 8 operating divisions in multiple countries and currencies as well a broad range of products and business complexities. This includes fully integrated manufacturing facilities, a network of Satellite and Service Centers, as well as multiple service businesses. Role responsibilities include month-end/forecast lead for HQ, Balance Sheet support reconciliations, reactive and proactive analysis of results, and interaction with Senior Management. The role provides accounting analysis and support to both finance and non-finance personnel at the Executive America’s Team level. Supports the continuous improvement process within the finance & accounting groups including establishing key FP&A analytic processes for the America’s Region. Needs to be well versed with corporate financial policy and procedures and to act as the coordinator of the various accounting and finance activities. This person will interact with a wide range of people across Eaton as well as provide guidance to the other team members on month-end and other forecast tasks. In this function you will: Be responsible for month end closing/forecasting of HQ ledgers. Partner with the Facilities team, managing the expense/capital budget for the Facility. Lead the preparation of HQ balance sheet reconciliations/review, department budgets, and annual profit plan. Provide financial analysis and assistance to the FP&A Managers through an in-depth understanding of company accounting policies and practices and business operations. Analyze and determine cause of period to period changes and provide other relevant financial analysis of the business. Possess an in-depth understanding of the cost accounting, general accounting, and financial planning and forecasting systems. Report, analyze, and verify accuracy of financials. Provide information and assistance to plants within the organization regarding these financials. Assist with the preparation of profit plan, strategic plan, operating reviews, and reporting of financial data and analysis Lead and perform special projects as needed. Demonstrate a commitment to achieving continuous improvement and total quality in the performance of all assigned duties and around the business. Manage both up and down in the organization as the position will be working with and providing guidance / support to the ES-A Finance organization. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance from an accredited institution. Minimum of three (3) years accounting and/or finance experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution. CPA. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley environment. Minimum of three (3) years experience demonstrating strong financial reporting, analysis, and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft office. Knowledge of Eaton computer systems used by accounting (Oracle financials, ENCORE, Hyperion, Qlikview, Vista, Mentor, Power Bi, Mapics). Experience within the manufacturing industry. Position Success Criteria: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of or quick ability to learn the company’s financial policies and procedure. Demonstrated understanding of the workings of the balance sheet, profit and loss, foreign exchange and the inter-relationship between the two. Strong solid knowledge of accounting practices, policies, and procedures. Strong working knowledge of systems such as payroll, fixed assets, invoicing, order entry, cost improvement and price realization programs. Given the nature of the accounting department, a service and support to the rest of the organization, it is important that the position possess good communication skills, multi-task management skills, and strong creative and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to monitor the financial process to determine that related systems and processes are operating within control. Why work at Eaton?
