Our TSG Operations team supports critical infrastructure for core business applications. We deliver capacity to support existing and new business activity, while owning and governing enterprise demand and capacity management standards, policies, processes, operating models, and tools. Our team provides 24x7x365 support for incidents, changes, and requests for key services including: Data Center Operations; Global File Transfer; Batch and Mainframe Operations; Global Data Center Strategy; planning/governing infrastructure disaster recovery services, playbook and TSG Business Continuity Plans.

The Role

We are seeking an Infrastructure Operations Analyst - Batch Scheduling.

You will be responsible for critical Production batch builds and modification. You will have full understanding of Mainframe and Distributed batch processing, and knowledge with CA Workload Automation ESP edition (or similar scheduling tool): Job Scheduling, Calendar Maintenance, Special Day processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mainframe and Distributed Scheduling: Job Schedule Builds, Modifications and Operational simulation
• Create forecast, history & audit batch reports
• Batch testing/implementation of systemic infrastructure updates/ product enhancements.
• Diagnose, isolate and de-bug scheduling problems
• UNIX/ WINDOWS/ CLOUD Server Agent definition and consultation services.
• Incident and Problem management.
• Quarterly Audit requirements and attestation (Internal and External).
• Disaster Recovery planning and support.

Designs, implements, integrates and supports various mainframe, mid-frame, distributed, web, and PC operating systems and ancillary products. Reviews new/modified file transmission requests. Formulates plans to meet system performance objectives. Analyzes, implements, maintains, and documents system software installed in all environments. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Analyzes user hardware and software needs and recommends upgrades or new purchases. Installs, configures, and develops middleware utility programs and related distributed system software on multiple mainframe/distributed hardware/software environments. Leads the middleware team in providing more complex on-site and on-call support through analysis and research. Communicates both formally and informally with customers and end users. Reviews new/modified file transmission requests submitted by all internal business partners at BNY Mellon. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required4 - 6 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

• Full understanding of Mainframe and Distributed batch processing
• Scheduling / Batch monitoring via Workload Automation - ESP Series (or similar batch scheduling software tool), z/OS, TSO/ISPF, JCL, Encore, Microsoft Office, Service Now, Unix/Windows OS knowledge, Shell scripting knowledge

Preferred:

• Knowledge on JCL/COBOL/DB2/CICS
• Programming Skills – REXX/CLIST/SAS/PYTHON/SPLUNK
