Eaton’s Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Lead International Accounting Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location. Flexible hybrid work schedule available. Position Overview: The Lead International Accounting Analyst is responsible for monthly analysis of Eaton's Foreign Exchange results as part of the closing and reporting process. Will work with global controllers to understand and ensure accuracy of foreign exchange results. Position will also work cross-functionally with Tax, Treasury and global accounting functions to provide accounting guidance and support to ensure accurate USGAAP reporting. In this function you will: Responsible for preparing reports for senior leaders, the Board of Directors and external SEC filings. Analyze foreign exchange results for Eaton's global organization to be used monthly by senior management. You will collaborate with Global Controllers and the Treasury teams on foreign exchange to provide underlying factors impacting reported results. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual Guarantor footnote information for 10Q/K. Participate in various cross-functional projects and prepare accounting guidance to record transactions in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsible for reporting, research and interpretation of accounting guidance on less than fully-owned entities (non-controlling interests and joint ventures). Review and publish official month end foreign exchange rates used by Eaton controllers and financial systems. Responsible for analyzing legal entity simplification results to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting. Why work at Eaton? Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance from accredited institution Minimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting experience No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Beachwood, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred qualifications: Strong working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including foreign exchange and translation accounting Ability to work and problem solve individually as well as with a team to accomplish goals Working knowledge of computer programs/systems such as Oracle/SAP, FCCS/HFM and Microsoft products (Word and Advanced Excel) Strong organizational, communication, analytic/problem solving, and customer service skills Accounting experience in a Global or Large Organization, preferred Position Criteria: Ability to complete and follow up on multiple critical projects simultaneously and provide accurate product in a timely manner with minimal lead time Strong team player Highly self-motivated and results oriented.
