• Creatively plans and implements lessons that are appropriately challenging for each assigned class.

• Participates in parent-teacher conferences with individual student families to discuss assessment data and information regarding the next level available.

• Creates a comfortable atmosphere for parents to come in after class and discuss lesson highlights, ask questions, and discuss any student specific comments or concerns.
• When applicable, communicates with parents (e.g., email, phone calls, meetings) to discuss any situations that require immediate feedback or parental support.
• Writes weekly class updates to be submitted (in a timely manner) to director and shared with parents.

• Maintains shared classroom supplies (including their organization, cleanliness, and replenishment).
• Responsibly uses and returns shared classroom materials to designated locations (promptly at the end of class) in a condition that is acceptable for the next user.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Requirements

• One-year work experience with kindergarten and primary-aged children.
• Maintain a high level of energy to engage and manage a classroom of 2-8 students for two hours per session.
• Able to work collaboratively with academic director, operations director, teachers and other staff, and families.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic knowledge of office software (i.e., Word, Excel, Pages, Numbers).
• Able to tailor instruction to different student needs.
• Willing to be deployed at various centre locations upon school expansion.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in early education or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with kindergarten and/or primary-aged children.
