The Bank of New York Mellon Luxembourg provides depositary services for collective investment schemes, mainly Luxembourg-registered funds. The Bank fulfils an oversight role for its client funds under the regulations published by the CSSF. This oversight involves the safe-keeping of the assets, monitoring the activities of the funds to ensure they comply with applicable regulations, particularly in the areas like custody and asset verification, calculation of the NAV and asset valuation and transfer agency activity and issuing of shares/units to investors. Role Overview: The Depositary Relationship Manager is a senior member of the Luxembourg Depositary Team, reporting to the head of Depositary. This requires highly effective communication and relationship management skills and to be fully conversant in all aspects of regulatory and legal obligations of traditional and alternative investment funds. Key Responsibilities: Work with the T&D senior management team to determine new strategies for Depositary services and deliver upon those Develop deep and trusted relationships with BNY Mellon clients, internal partners and stakeholders, focussing on continuous improvement, risk awareness, client satisfaction Attend client service meetings / board meetings Assist in sales pitches and preparing materials Assist with training, development and motivation of the team to ensure a positive working environment. Deep knowledge of Private Equity and Real Estate Funds, Fund of Funds and Debt Funds Supporting the clients with general queries and following up on internal activities to fulfill them (new projects, new opportunities, etc.) Producing internal reports related to meetings participation, projects, revenues, etc. Assuring the quality of the service provided, dealing with complaints and improving the processes Lead by example, share knowledge, create and maintain a cohesive, diverse, respectful and inclusive working environment. Qualifications Degree in Banking, Economics, Business Administration or Law 5 years of related working experience Previous experience working in a Depositary bank at a senior level Used to dealing with internal senior management, including functions of compliance, finance, risk, legal and audit Solid understanding of the regulatory regimes applicable to both traditional and alternative investment funds, in Luxembourg and preferably any other EU locations Good operational level of Microsoft products Fluent in English. French and German are an advantage Efficient, proactive, team player and well structured Ability to analyse data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis; Proven analytical and problem solving skills; Ability to identify logical and innovative solutions to complex problems; Self-motivated, innovative and analytical.
