RESUMEN GENERAL (SUMMARY):
Coordinate all assembly operations within as assembly line, sub-assy area or working Group, including the packing area assuring compliance of manufacturing and Quality Regulations, and production standards. Customer satisfactions through high quality service and low cost. Promote an environment of continues improvement initiatives throughout creative ideas, proactive performance, maintaining a great communication and developing ideas that result cost reduction projects.
TAREAS Y RESPONSABILIDADES (DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES):
1. Coordinates assembly and packing operations within the assigned area.
2. Assigns employees to specific jobs and monitors performance. Provides feedback concerning employee job performance.
3. Aids and assists in troubleshooting equipment problems.
4. Inform to the manufacturing supervisor and/or other group leaders of any materials availability or quality issue that compromised the compliance of the schedule adherence.
5. Coordinate and provide safety equipment to all associate if necessary.
6. Communicate all situations that may have adverse impact to employees, products, machines or process to the immediate supervisor.
7. Coordinate training and cross training of employees as required.
8. Monitors and control labor efficiency, downtime, scrap, conversion loss and other key performance indicators. Analyzed output charts and gives in a daily basis the reason for misses when the target is not reach per shift.
9. Every day closes batches in the Poms system to release the products in a timely manner. Perform batch tracking of the batches for finish goods (if apply) and assemblies that area produce to release them in compliance with the targets.
10. Coordinates the manufacturing schedule activities with Manufacturing Supervisor and with the Group Leaders of the other production shifts.
11. Informs Manufacturing Supervisor and fills out reports on manufacturing activities (daily, weekly, monthly, annually) on a timely basis as required.
12. Audits manufacturing areas assuring compliance with specifications and procedures.
13. Maintains motivated the employees.
14. Maintains proper maintenance standard of the area.
15. Identifies and supports VIP (Cost reduction projects).
16. Use of computer system applications (PRMS, BRS, POMS, Bax U, Xinco, others).
17. Performs and coordinate machines/lines/stations change overs as required per Production Scheduling.
18. Coordinates code and batch changes and monitors that they area completed according to applicable SPEC’s, SOP's and any other regulatory document.
19. Keep process monitoring on quality and performance targets.
20. Participates in KPIs monthly meetings.
21. Promote a world class environment through working teams and Safety/Environment.
22. Implement process improvement ideas and strongly promotes others to participate in the Kaizen and Improvements ideas programs.
23. Prepare, complete and verify documents as required in the area Assigned.
24. Manually document (ex: checker chart) and/or electronically (ex: POMs) the required information to comply applicable procedures and specifications. This information includes but is not limited to process parameters, lots, amount of production, and others.
25. Submits daily employee assistance information to the Manufacturing Supervisor.
26. Conducts periodic meetings with employees as required. (Ex. Tier 1, Tier 2).
27. Collaborates in the investigation and solution of quality issues and complaints.
28. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
29. Responsible for conducting EHS inspections to identify and correct safety hazards and environmental aspects. Follow the EHS applicable procedures and analyze EHS incidents (including near misses) to find causes and take corrective action.
30. Observes confidentiality and data privacy rules at all time.
DEMANDA FISICA (PHYSICAL DEMANDS):
Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demands requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
EDUCACIÓN Y/O EXPERIENCIA (EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE):
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration o related area.
Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in manufacturing process environment.
CUALIFICACIONES (QUALIFICATIONS):
PC Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, others), Strong verbal and written communications skills. Knowledge of corporate specifications and plant standard operating procedures. Knowledge of bill of material process. Must have good documentation practices knowledge, Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to interface well with other departments personnel. Lead effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing plant setting.
