Responsibilities
1.  Evaluate feasibility to implement customer requirements in an optical engineering environment, and provide technical proposal;
2.  Define optical specifications, select equipment, apply risk analysis with contingency plans, conduct manufacturability assessments, verify design durability and reliability, schedule control and prototype manufacturing projects;
3.  Engage in the decision-making, facilitation, assessment and quality assurance of manufacturing projects, and coordinate with sales/business units with R&D teams to ensure effective collaboration on developing optical proposal, project planning and execution for clients;
4.  Build and improve R&D management system and work procedures, promote and supervise the implementation of the system and work procedures;
5.  Build a complete set of documents for more effective optical selection, proposal development and team management procedures and measures;
6.  Build, develop and supervise a strong optical engineer team.

Requirements
1.  Bachelor or above degree in Optical Engineering, applied optics, image processing, automation, computer software or related disciplines;
2.  Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in both imaging software and optical design and development for automation equipment, and 5 or above years’ experience of optical design and testing for machine vision applications;
3.  Able to provide unique insights and understanding of optical device selection, cost, functions, etc., and familiar with mainstream industrial sensors, lighting equipment, industrial camera brands, and have studied the cost, advantages and disadvantages;
4.  Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure and diverse, emergent situations;
5.  Team spirit and overseas team management experience, with strong spoken and written communication skills to work effectively with various parties;
6.  A proactive, can-do attitude and drive to deliver results with great details as an individual and a team member;
