Eaton's Electrical Sector, Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) division is currently seeking a Lead Product Reliability Technician to join our team. This position is based in Raleigh, NC. Eaton's Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division in Raleigh, NC is looking for a for a Lead Product Reliability Technician to support our three phase UPS products. This position is responsible for conducting failure analysis on returned three phase UPS equipment and parts thereof and determining the failure issue cause down to individual components. In this function you will: Conduct failure analysis on returned three phase UPS equipment and parts to determine the failure issue cause down to individual components. Interact with team members from our service group, product engineering and quality team to report out on each failure analysis. This position is also responsbile for the tracking of samples from receipt through to disposal. Ensure prodcuts at the Service Technology Center are operating properly to support ongoing operations. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution Minimum 1 year of relevant engineering experience Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution Position Criteria: Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, understand installation, and operations manuals Ability to utilize basic hand tools (screw drivers, but drivers, sockets, wrenches, etc.) in order to remove and replace electrical components. Troubleshoot complex power electronics down to component level. Desolder and Solder small/large pitch components. Work independently and be able to escalate when required.
