Eaton’s Commercial Products and Assemblies (CPA) Division is seeking a Lead Quality and Process Control Engineer for its Panelboard / Switchboard Satellite Business Unit. This position will be based out of the Charlotte, NC location. Position Overview: The Lead Quality and Process Control Engineer is responsible for managing the quality management system for the Satellites. This individual will lead the implementation and continual improvement in Quality metrics and value stream processes, launch Industry I4.0/MES Lite (Process Control and Test (PCaT)), implement No Touch Low Touch (NTLT), and Wisper at all 16 Satellite locations. After implementation you will work closely with site Operations Managers, the ES-A quality team, Manufacturing Engineering, OPEX and EHS to sustain I4.0/MES Lite quality systems, and lead troubleshooting and corrections required with NTLT/PCaT software or system downtime to insure system sustainability. In this role: Responsible for the deployment of I 4.0/MES Lite Quality system for the Satellites, supporting ES-A quality Initiatives, and developing and managing quality improvement plans Work in conjunction with the Electrical Sector Quality team on electrical and mechanical testing procedure guidelines and act as a subject matter expert to integrate / sustain the process through MES Lite (PCaT/Wisper) Identify trends that drive cost of non-conformance (CONC), CQMs, as well as macro flow interrupters seen in eAndon/PCaT software and drive ELSS methodologies to reduce those trends at the Business Unit and site level Issue timely scorecards to show trends and performance to plan against annual goals like DPPM, CONC, CQM and DMR resolution Lead corrective and preventative actions around key, high profile customer quality issues to include customer complaints Lead on-boarding training around Wisper and MES Lite for all new Site Managers and Production Managers, and administers all other Quality training requirements for the Satellites Other duties and projects as assigned When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we- as individuals and as a company – are stronger. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Minimum five (5) years’ experience in quality Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related problem-solving discipline Minimum five (5) years’ experience in manufacturing environment Black Belt Certification through American Society of Quality Control (ASQ) Multi-location experience preferred Proficient in MS Office toolset to include MS Project and Minitab Position Criteria: Knowledge of process improvement and structured problem solving, 8D/DMAIC/A3 Working knowledge of and experience with electrical distribution and control products Exhibit strong project management skills to plan and organize efficiently and independently Ability to work in a fast-paced, lean environment Ability to communicate / execute / influence remotely as a change agent Ability to getting results through self and others Ability to travel via airplane and other methods up to 50% of your time At Eaton, we are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
