Responsibilities

• Report to project manager/ lead systems architect and lead other system analysts to work with other implementation team members to perform all aspects of system implementation tasks, including collecting user requirements, system analysis and design, documentation, conducting system integration tests, providing support to customers during user acceptance tests, and performing production rollout for the system etc.;
• Support and maintain the application after implementation of the system;
• Assist bid team to propose application design with required system software and hardware, and prepare technical proposals to respond the requirements of the tenders for bidding new projects;
• Manage and communicate with different users, vendors, partners, and stakeholders;
• Forecast work efforts required for each phase of a project, closely monitor the project schedule;
• Timely report the progress/status to project manager/ lead systems architect.

Requirements

• A degree or above in computer science or equivalent;
• At least 9 years of post-qualification IT experience;
• At least 5 years of IT experience in following areas:

(i)   functional/ specialty experience in the design and/ or implementation of web-based application systems;

(ii)  hand-on experience for web-based and/ or mobile application system implementation;

(iii) serving as a team lead for the implementation of one or more web application systems.

• At least 2 years of IT experience in one or more areas of the following:

(i)   Implementation of document management system;

(ii)  Implementation of workflow management;

(iii) Implementation of imaging system;

(iv) Implementation of search engine;

(v)  Implementation of e-submission system.

• Good system analysis and design skills;
• Good knowledge in project management and SDLC standards;
• System implementation experience with one or more technologies/ tools in each of the following categories is preferred, less experience will also be considered:

(i)   Application servers: e.g. IBM WebSphere/ WebLogic/ JBoss;

(ii)  Database servers: e.g. IBM DB2/ Oracle;

(iii) Programming languages/ technologies: e.g. Java/ Java EE;

(iv) Mobile application development: e.g. iOS/ Android;

(v)  Document management servers: e.g. IBM FileNet/ Documentum.

• Good communication, interpersonal and customer interaction skills;
• Working experience in government projects, familiar with government implementation and maintenance methodologies and documentation standards is a plus;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua).
