Responsible for coordinating the handling of VIP medical evacuation request and emergency medical assistance.Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for operational management of escalated complex cases requiring manager’s intervention/guidance and Emergency international Medical Evacuation/Repatriation and Repatriation of mortal remains cases. This may include the gathering required information for purpose of assessment, reporting and client advisory. This includes communications with various stakeholders e.g. doctors, medical directors, international medical services companies, corporate clients, patients/members/claimants, family members intermediaries, air ambulance partners, third party administrators, client HR representatives etc.
2. Ensure the best possible care and treatment options with permitted scope of services offerings are provided to the members.
3. Formulate and maintain operational guidelines, materials, customer communications and process documentation audit/risk required documents.
4. Conduct data analysis and reporting relating to utilisation, operation efficiency, specific client, risk matters, trending review and similar.
5. Conduct audits, reviews and formulate mitigating approaches to manage risks, develop further training material for the team and to continuously improve on operations and services.
6. Drive initiatives/projects towards development and improvements of operational effectiveness and service excellence, maintenance of systems, participate in system testing, formulate system enhancement (user front) that support the services to be provided.
The right candidate should have the following:
• Operational leadership skills , experienced in managing high performance teams.
• Candidates with nursing /major claims/global medical services are preferred. Knowledgeable with medical evacuations, repatriations etc.
• Minimum 8 years working experience in international medical services delivery or a claims area in similar capacity; have no less than 3 years leading teams in related environment.
• Keenly service-oriented individual, able to provide excellent service without compromise to risks.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment and within tight timelines, can multitask. Prepared to work off hours, focused on the case on hand.
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to make quick sound decisions taking risk tolerance into consideration, sensitive to public relations view and clients’ requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, able to stay calm, professionally manage sensitive situations, effectively communicate and influence all levels of stakeholders.
• High motivated individual, self-starter, collaborative, a good team player.
• Ability to fluently communicate in 2 or more languages. Computer literacy is a must.
