Job Description
Location: France - Montrottier / Poland - Tczew / Remote work possible Job Summary: As a lead Supplier Development Engineer, you will be playing key role in Eaton Vehicle and eMobility business group as lead subject matter expert. Your focus will be development of EMEA located suppliers. On top of that you will be collaborating with internal stakeholders on new programs development globally. Job Responsibilities: • Support new supplier sourcing with onsite quality/technical assessments based on Eaton audit forms and VDA, AIAG CQI standards • Lead high risk supplier APQP process. Assure flawless launch and on-time PPAP delivery • Support error proofing in early APQP stage through design & manufacturability reviews • Lead initial supplier orientation including early APQP Supplier Training Program • Proactively monitor supplier risk and performance using lagging and leading indicators. Drive systemic quality improvements across dedicated commodity • Coordinate and execute supplier onsite and remote audit plans • Support development of dedicated supplier commodity strategy with cross functional team • Work collaboratively with Eaton and supplier quality engineers on quality, delivery improvement programs using lean best practices • Drive problem solving on High Impact supplier complains • Support VAVE and LEAN initiatives in the region Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering 3-5 years of experience in quality/technical environment Experience in process engineering, ideally in a production environment Technical knowledge: Subject matter expert in mechatronics; Harness, connectors, PCBA manufacturing. Experience with Technical cleanliness standard VDA19 Experience with AGAI CQI applicable standards Minimum 3-year experience using quality tools/methodologies (FMEA, PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, Problem solving, 8D, A3, Ishikawa, 5why, supplier onsite auditing) Working toward or certified Six Sigma Green Belt Soft skills: • Ability to work cross-functionally, think strategically • Fluency in English.
