Job Description
Working in partnership with the NSW Government, the Parklife Metro consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney. Comprising, Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens and Webuild, the private sector partners are looking to build their metro rail expertise to deliver this city-shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership model and will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney. Siemens as a D&C Contractor member will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to hire System Engineer (CBI) Lead to work within Siemens Mobility team, based in our Sydney office. This is your role. What part will you play? The Lead System Engineer (CBI) is a knowledgeable individual in Railway Signalling systems who provides technical and managerial leadership in their areas of expertise. They guide and manage the competency development of their team so that they achieve the required competencies in consultation with the Engineering Manager Signalling. They also provide career path guidance and training needs to their team in consultation with the EM-Sig. In this role, your key responsibilities will include: Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet productivity and quality goals. Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output. Review performance data to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness. Coordinate the corresponding internal interfaces with the respective partners in departments of development, project execution, test centre and with other internal partners. Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment Use your skills to move the world forward Professional experience combined technical and management experience in CBI System Engineering. Experience in multiple Metro / Main line projects.
