Responsible for providing application development and support services to meet AIA's business needs

Roles & Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities are as listed below. The list is not exhaustive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.

  • Provides subject matter expertise in design, execution, maintenance and/or support of automation testing solutions
  • Delivers assigned projects on time and within budget including the delivery of high-quality deliverables that meet the client expectations and manage project risks
  • Ensure compliance to an established framework, standards, and oversight methods and testing strategies and methodologies.
  • Implement Automation Frameworks including Behavior Driven Design (BDD) or Test-Driven Design (TDD) based on client need
  • Develop and improve automated solutions for new and existing processes
  • Work on QA/tester team to identify gaps and constraints associated with business requirements and process and provide solutions to resolve the process issues
  • Coach, mentor, and supervise team members
  • Responsible for growing and managing a team of test automation engineers to contribute to the overall quality of solution
  • Log, track. and communicate defects to development teams for resolution

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience with automation testing and 3+ years of experience with Eggplant tool
  • Experience in at least one of the following solutions: Selenium, Cucumber, Katalon, API Testing or any of the automation test tools
  • Experience in implementing Automation Frameworks including Behavior Driven Design (BDD) or Test-Driven Design (TDD)
  • Experience in test automation and developing automation frameworks from scratch
  • Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Bamboo, Jenkins or Azure DevOps
  • Comprehensive knowledge of test methodologies
  • Experience with designing test automation framework from the ground up or redesigning an existing framework in a significant way to increase reuse and reduce development and testing efforts.
  • Understand best engineering practice of test automation design, script development, execution, and monitoring.
  • Hands-on experience with EggPlant and various tools used for test automation technologies and API testing.
  • Experience in policy admin system testing and testing on large complex project
  • Competence in relevant business processes and good insurance domain knowledge

    • Azure Cloud
    • Web services
    • Microservices/API
    • CI/CD
    • Drools
  • Demonstrate project management skills including but not limited to UAT's, managing scope creep and Effective time management.
  • Ability to work closely with an Agile team, developers, testers, and different business units
  • Take ownership of challenges and resolve complex technical problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, care about quality, importance of automated testing and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate leadership and integrity at work, self-motivated, creative, and proactive.
