Eaton’s Electrical is currently seeking a Lead Test Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh NC. Relocation assistance will be provided. PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for supporting a variety of technical tasks including testing, automation platform development, and maintenance. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provide technical leadership, direction, and mentorship to members of the Test Organization Defines test strategy, develops detailed test plans, specifications, framework, test scripts and test data sets that validate functional, performance requirements and update existing test procedures based on requirement changes and test Designs and leads and implements robust, scalable, high quality Test Automation Suites/Framework within a Continuous Integration and Deployment environment to improve quality and productivity of functional, regression, and system tests. Performs testing and reviews reports in accordance with applicable test methods and standards Designs, Programs and Operates computer controlled/automated test equipment and associated software and documentation Identifies opportunities for process, tools, and test methodology improvements, and drives those from concept to implementation Communicates technical concepts and information to internal staff/peers and stakeholders; strong verbal, documentation, and interpersonal communication skills required. Follow safe work practices involving energy isolation (Lock Out/Tag Out) Assist in installation of equipment and instrumentation for use in evaluation of power systems. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering. Equivalent combination of education and experience is also accepted 5+ years of experience in performance testing, analysis, and troubleshooting of systems Proven experience to develop test plans, test strategies, framework development and continuous integration Experience with network hardware and related protocols i.e., SNMP, TCP/IP Demonstrates expertise in test Scripting experience for various kinds of applications API, UI, Web, Client Server etc. Relocation Assistance is available for this position Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship Preferred qualifications: Computer or Electronic Engineering Master’s Degree or equivalent 2+ years of experience in developing/maintaining automation frameworks Experience with Java, C# programming, Python, or other scripting languages Understanding of emulators/simulators is advantage Position Criteria: Establishes and oversees test plans, test strategies, and automation framework development Should be ready to explore, learn and develop solutions for problems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical Problem-solving skills We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
