We are seeking an energetic individual with strong communication, leadership and operational skills to fill a Training Specialist I role within our Distribution team. The Training Specialist I assists with daily training demands, coordinates schedules for training, participates in continuous improvement activities, trains other employees, and assists with creation and/or updates to SOPs, WINs Proficiencies and Job Aids.

Education
Works in a Distribution environment; is required to lift up to 50 lbs. and may be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties. Must be able to work safely with materials and equipment. Must be able to work overtime and flexible shifts. Various levels of gowning are required. May also work in an office environment.

The Training Specialist I assists with daily training demands, coordinates schedules for training, participates in continuous improvement activities, trains other employees, and assists with creation and/or updates to SOPs, WINs Proficiencies and Job Aids.
What will you do?
- Creates training binders and job aids.
- Coordinates scheduling and actions for training both new employees as well as cross training individuals within the Distribution areas.
- Carries out on the job training of team members.
- Reviews, maintains, and updates SOP’s, forms, and work instructions.
- Assists department with deploying properly trained resources when and where necessary to ensure production schedule is attained.
- Coaches others on procedures, team work, etc, and leads by example, exemplifies positive behavior.
- Facilitates communication between team and Supervisors/Management
- Supports and initiates quality, safety, compliance improvement initiatives.
- Monitors and ensures all personnel are following safe practices and SOP’s.
- Identifies opportunities and implements productivity improvements.
- Operates PIT equipment.
- Maintains records to comply with regulatory requirements, GMP’s and standard operating procedures.
- Maintains equipment and rooms in proper operation condition and proper cleanliness requirements.
- May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse , or equivalent experience and knowledge.
- Demonstrated leadership and training capabilities are preferred.
- General understanding of machinery and mechanics is required.
- Strong attention to detail required.
- Experience working with a strong focus on quality of product required.
- Prior experience in a Distribution environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of computer applications and current software is desirable.
