We are looking for an in-house Lead Translator to join our Swedish Language Office in Stockholm for a 1 year fixed contract. You will be responsible for delivering translations of the highest quality and accuracy on time and within budget.
We may be able to offer remote working arrangements after a suitable induction period.
Main Duties:
• Translation from English into Swedish
• Review work of other in-house and external translators
• Understanding and following linguistic processes and procedures
• Understanding and following the specific processes of each client
• Producing quality translations within given deadlines
• Managing terminology effectively
• Using translation tools
• Linguistic checking of Desktop Publishing output
• Linguistic testing of software, help and websites, if necessary
• Proofreading of documents, if necessary
• Providing full linguistic support for your colleagues
• Assigning and delivering finished projects
• File management
• Raising and authorising Purchase Orders
• Using the timesheet and work scheduling systems efficiently
Essential requirements:
- Native-level Swedish
- Degree in translation or any other relevant combination of training and experience
- 1-2 years translation experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
Desirable requirements:
- Good knowledge of translation software such as Trados Studio
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with German Source translations
