Eaton’s Electrical Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure Division is currently seeking a Lead Validation Engineering Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC facility. The Lead Validation Engineering Technician is an exciting role providing support for launching new Eaton network connectivity software and hardware products through evaluation and defect identification. In this function you will: Work with engineers to evaluate new software and network products. Perform manual and automated tests for UIs, network protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP) and associated power systems. Write test defects and collaborate with Development, Service and Technical Support in defect resolution. Collaborate and coordinate testing with global teams. Test lab maintenance and organization. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Electronics from an accredited institution AND/OR a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years experience working in an engineering or technical role. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Raleigh, NC facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or related Engineering degree from an accredited institution. Experience with network hardware and related protocols i.e. SNMP, TCP/IP, Modbus. Knowledge of multiphase low voltage electrical systems and related parameters. Understanding of electronic circuit theory of operation. Experience using electronic measurement tools and equipment. Knowledge of test automation in Python or similar scripting languages.
