Lean Analysis Trainee will proactively interface with operations and technology staff at CN/US HQ and in the FC to develop needs, requirements, and plans for the development and implementation of complete, operationally-ready technology solutions to FC challenge. Oversee initiatives pertaining to labor and staff planning, productivity tracking and planning (individual, department, and FC), capacity planning, and scheduling. Lead effort to match FC capability and plans to annual plan and weekly S&OP plan. Work with Inbound and Outbound Sr. Operations Managers to develop and implement plans to enable FC to achieve these plans
Lead Operations Excellence activities
- 5S workplace organization (location of tools and Equipment based on frequency of use etc.)
- Kaizen Events (ACES Events and Weekly Kaizen)
- Lean Initiatives such as Andon, Flow, Visual management activities
- Kaizen Culture promoting activities (bottom up mechanisms like standard work to enable daily Kaizen)
- Method and Skills Trainings (Lean Six Sigma Training, 6 Step kaizen, Pick Console Trainings etc.)
- Lean Six Sigma Projects (BB, GB, Lean Six Sigma Training and Mentoring)
- Software Team Project and Implementation support
- Standardization (Provide mechanisms to drive Process, System Settings, Equipment, Layout Standards)
- Process Design and Innovation including FC Software Requests & Pizza Team Liaison
- FC Process Support (Peak Support, Process Audits etc.)
Basic Qualification
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Process Engineering or related field
- Good English writing and conversation skills
- Strong mix of intellect and common sense
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
