Job Description

Job Purpose


A Learning Consultant is passionate about helping young people improve their lives through English language training. By understanding the goals and motivations of the child and parents, the Learning Consultant assesses the individual learning needs of the prospective student, and in partnership with our Academic team, develops and implements a personalized training plan that meets the specific needs of the learner. With highly effective communication skills and the use of the diagnostic and assessment tools provided during the consultation process, the Learning Consultant motivates the parent to enroll their child in WSE’s learning program. As the key representative of WSE with the parent, the Learning Consultant is responsible for maintaining a long-term relationship, guaranteeing high levels of satisfaction and regularly following up on the progress of the student; as opposed to just selling a training course.


Responsibilities



1. Customer Acquisition:



  • Provide learning consultations through a highly professional and consultative approach. The main objective of the consultation is to understand the customers goals and learning needs. Then communicate a personalized learning solution in a structured manner that leads the parent to enroll their child in WSE’s Young Learners Program

  • Visit our potential customers onsite and perform a diagnostic assessment of the student’s learning needs and provide product demonstrations to families or small groups of families

  • Answer any questions that the parents and child have about their learning experience

  • Facilitate the payment and contract processing of the student’s enrollment

  • Establish a long-term relationship with the parents

  • Within the assigned territory, meet monthly/yearly enrollment targets


2. Customer Satisfactions:



  • Work closely with the Academic teams to support the learner’s progress throughout their course, including regular review sessions with the parents and child

  • Describe and explain to parents and learners effectively the different elements of English language proficiency and convey how improvement is made

  • Maintain strong, consistent and “always in time” communication with customers and prospects. Become parents’ trusted advisor and provide on-going feedback and follow up

  • Contribute to continued improvement and development of the WSE Young Learner program by providing feedback and recommendations on how WSE can improve its services to parents and students

  • Deliver best in class services to drive customer satisfaction and retention

  • Encourage customer referrals within their network

  • Handle parent complaints and provide solutions, and ensure all unsolved complaints are followed up in a timely manner by reporting to line manager


Requirements and Qualifications



  • Passion for learning, education, training and/or helping young people improve their lives

  • High integrity levels, with a positive mindset and leads a healthy lifestyle

  • Bachelor’s degree and above

  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in the education/training industry

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and able to establish rapport with people quickly

  • Ability to work remotely and independently; Ability to carry out duties autonomously, with little direct supervision

  • Able to work at flexible hour to visit customers onsite and to work on weekends
  • Focusing on long term growth, development and capability building as opposed to short term results.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English
