Job Responsibility
? Sets a sales strategy for the eLearning business, designed to meet sales metrics, based on a solid understanding of the eLearning marketplace.
? Generates sales performance projections, and reports such to eLearning Business Manager on a regular basis.
? Works with eLearning sales team members in setting their individual sales goals and metrics to support the goals of the business.
? Leads, manages and grows the capability of the eLearning sales team.
? Coaches eLearning sales team to achieve the very best results possible for the client.
? Assists each individual in developing a career development plan.
? Works one-on-one with eLearning sales team members in identifying client pain points, designing solutions and pricing solutions for winning contracts as needed.
? Travels with individual sales team members to meet with clients as required and supported by the business.
? Connects eLearning sales team with others in the business to ensure the very best solutions are created for the client.
? Works with Marketing in gathering competitive intelligence on the eLearning market, setting a market strategy for success.
? Attends conferences, conventions and trade association meetings involved in the eLearning marketplace as an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the market, gather competitive intelligence, and position DSS as a thought leader.
? Keeps up-to-date on trends in the market by reading trade journals, books, periodicals, news reports, client websites, etc…
? Works with Product Manager in identifying product development needs to meet the demands of the eLearning market.
? Advocates the needs of our clients and prospects in terms of product and platforms for our eLearning portfolio.
? Creates and nurtures a reputation of expertise and excellence in the eLearning marketplace.
? Leverages existing relationships in the eLearning market.
? Learns each team members’ motivators, and designs reward and recognitions that are meaningful to the team.
? Ensures the company Core Values are honored by each eLearning team member, managing concerns if and when they arise.
Requirement
? BA or BS required, focus in business administration.
? 10 plus years of sales management experience
? At least 5 years’ experience of selling complex solutions to large accounts, preferably in learning solutions.
? Experience in managing inside sales resources
? Knowledge and Services selling experience preferred
? Experience with implementers, system integrators, authoring tools and enterprise learning architecture a plus.
? Proficiency in understanding hardware infrastructures and software protocols preferred.
? Strong presentation and communication skills.
? High level of emotional intelligence.
