Purpose of the Job

  • As Learning & Development manager in North Asia, identify all learning needs in the region and ensure to deliver learning solutions accordingly, and as a global learning expert to develop the experiential Bekaert Manufacturing Academy (BMA) training materials and develop internal academy trainers in regions to ensure the good knowledge transfer

Your Role

  • Learning & Development Manager of North Asia
    • Consult with the regional business/plant teams and HR in order to identify all learning needs in your region. Consolidate global training priorities per function domain and keep relevant stakeholders informed. Build and manage the regional learning plan in close cooperation with Enterprise Leverage Learning Center (in charge of the organization of all trainings
    • Function as a learning architect in co-defining training curricula or know how transfer within your region
    • Support and mentor local trainers and coach them on new practices and training methodologies
    • Design innovative programs and learning solutions within your region to enhance the core skills of our employees. Therefore:
      • Design training material, instructor-led training, eLearning, and/or blended solutions for a number of regional trainings (outside of global offerings to meet regional business needs ) using the 70:20:10 principle of learning to ensure learning solutions focus on 'on the job' transference and follow a learning journey format.
      • Co-develop and coordinate the external development of trainings and be the linking pin between our SME's, HR and external training design centers
  • BMA Expert
    • Develop the experiential BMA training material based on BMS playbook content together with Global BMS team as learning experts
      • Work closely with BMS global change agents or consultant to develop the manufacturing training material such as Way of Working (WoW), productivity improvement, maintenance, lean energy, or other lean training material
      • In the beginning, need frequently travel to Europe or US to work closely with global change agents
      • Keep closely contact with global BMS team and maintain the material (update the training material once content is updated, issue the new document to regions)
    • Develop internal academy trainers to ensure the good knowledge transfer
      • Deliver the TTT session to trainers to build up the knowledge of trainers about the content
      • Train the training skills of the trainers to ensure the good knowledge transfer skill
    • Act as one of internal trainers in BMA
      • Be one of the internal trainers of BMA modules as well

Your Profile

  • 5-7 years of experience in the areas of adult learning, instructional design and group facilitation (proven SME in learning) within a training consultancy company (design and facilitation of trainings) or training department of an international company in B2B
  • Awareness of technical trends in learning; interest and ability in using instructional design and learning management technology – willingness to be “hands on” and self-taught
  • With manufacturing learning background and with good understanding level the concept of lean
  • Good training skills that can inspire the people in the training
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English – writes creative and engaging communications for a variety of audiences
