#### Position Description:


In need of a Moodle platform developer for our learning management system
(LMS). A developer is critical to our Services Education team’s mission of
delivering education to technical support personnel. This role is tasked with
the key responsibilities of improving and maintaining our LMS based on Moodle
and PHP. As a platform developer, the individual will focus on designing,
configuring, branding and customizing our Moodle LMS. Development requirements
include integrating plugins, integrating APIs, writing scripts and maintaining
existing platform functionality.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage initiatives while
developing relationships with peers across functions and outside of the
organization.

Job Descriptions
• Maintain and customize learning management system based on Moodle/PHP.
• Design, configure, customize and implement an effective LMS.
• Implement with plugins when required; write scripts to automate processes
and routines.
• Analyze business process and user requirements to determine implementation
approach.
• Support Moodle implementation and resolve any technical issues.
• Ability to manage, implement, drive, and track projects in a deadline driven
environment.

#### Position Requirements:


Job requirement
• Experience integrating plug-ins and customization to extend the Moodle
system core features
• Proven experience with Moodle API and integration with third party systems
• More than 3 years’ experience in Linux, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, HTML,
AJAX, Apache, and Moodle LMS – at least 3 years
• Experience with XML data structures and Web Services (SOA)
• Experience with MySQL and other RDBMS
• Experience with AJAX, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and XHTML
• Engineering Degree in Computer Science or master’s in computer applications
(MCA) or equivalent
• Project Management Skills
