The successful candidate is expected to provide guidance and support to identified students in areas of inclusion and learning diversity in achieving the best possible learning outcomes. Learning diversity refers to different learning needs of students that require holistic support and enrichment so that every student can thrive and achieve excellence. Detailed responsibilities include:

• Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure students with special learning needs receive a balanced curriculum through early intervention, bridging programs and differentiated classroom delivery in an inquiry based environment
• Regularly evaluate teaching, learning and student outcomes and to monitor the progress of these special learning needs’ students
• Develop students’ independent learning skills and self esteems
• work in close collaboration with parents through conducting regular meetings to report on students’ progress and to share information and support strategies
• Ensure appropriate records are kept on individual students receiving support
• Plan and engage in professional learning activities that support school and systematic priorities

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Education or related special education field
• Patient and passionate about educating children
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience; relevant knowledge and experience teaching students with special education learning needs is highly preferred
• Sufficient knowledge, expertise and awareness of students’ social, emotional and learning needs is highly preferred
• Experience in a bilingual working environment is advantageous
