Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 494394), to commence on August 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years’ work experience in Social Work or human services. Preference will be given to those with higher academic qualifications, experience of teaching and/or working in the Mainland, as well as expertise in teaching and/or conducting research in the following disciplines: non-profit management, social services management, community work and/or social policy and social development. The appointee will be responsible for teaching at both undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels and administrating the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At the current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of the gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary.
