Job Posting Details

The appointee should have expertise and experience in English for Academic Purposes in order to teach on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The specific need for the first position is to develop the language component of an undergraduate course in the Humanities making full use of digital technology. A background in the Humanities is required for this post. The specific need for the second position is to develop and take lead in the delivery of courses in the teaching of Phonetics and Phonology to postgraduate students. A background in the Linguistics is required for this post. For both positions, we are looking for an effective, experienced language educator who has expertise in technology-based, innovative pedagogy.

Applicants should have a first degree, a master’s degree in TESOL, applied linguistics or language education and, preferably, a recognized language teaching qualification. They should also have experience of teaching ESL/EFL at tertiary level. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
