Lecturer – School of Design

• Provide your expertise in teaching and scholarship, consultancy and administrative duties as a lecturer

The Opportunity
The position will involve teaching and scholarship, consultancy, and administrative duties as a Lecturer.
Teaching duties include conducting lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars, associated assessments, and supervision for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The appointee will be required to participate in the coordination, design, development, implementation, and review of modern and innovative design programmes, flexible delivery and assessment.

Key Accountabilities:
• Make an effective and sustained contribution to the University
• Coordinate and conduct lectures, tutorials workshops both in person and on-campus and distance/online
• Conduct marking and assessments in relation to units and provide feedback to students on a regular basis.
• Initiate, develop, and monitor innovative and flexible delivery and assessment programmes within the university.
• Participate in activities such as workshops, seminars, meetings, student recruitment, marketing and promotion activities, and student counselling.

Your Application
To be successful in the role, your application will need to demonstrate the following;
• Completion of a Master's degree in a relevant discipline; industry experience is desirable.

• Able to teach in units related to garment or design or fine arts such as
Garment：
Design, Fine Arts, Art Theory, Journalism and Communication, Textile Science and Engineering (Costume Design and Engineering), Drama and Film Science (Drama Film Director, Photography Direction)

Design：
Design, Computer Science and Technology (Computer Application Technology, Computer System Structure), Business Administration, Public Administration, Sociology (Sociology, Anthropology), Mechanical Engineering (Mechanical Design and Theory, Mechanical and Electronic Engineering), Psychology (Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Psychology), Drama and Film Science (Radio and Television Directing direction), Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning, Society Science, landscape architecture

Fine arts：
Fine Arts (Painting, commercial illustration, General Art), Design (dyeing and weaving design or visual communication design, digital media)

• Ability to plan and teach effectively at all levels using modern, innovative, and relevant pedagogic tools and strategies.
• Ability to work as part of a team with limited supervision to demanding timelines, answer and respond to industry and stakeholder inquiries, produce good quality reports, and be flexible with the work.

Remuneration & Benefits
Salary 200,000 - 500,000 CNY /Year
