We are looking for a Legal & Compliance Specialist at Daimler Commercial Vehicles Thailand (DCVT), the General Distributor for Mitsubishi Fuso and Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses in Thailand. You would be part of a dynamic team within the distribution network of an international organization and a member of the global Legal & Compliance family within the Daimler Truck Group. Your position in DCVT would bundle and support Legal & Compliance tasks for DCVT in Thailand and for the regional center Daimler Commercial Vehicles South East Asia (DCVSEA) in Singapore.

The Legal & Compliance teams in Thailand and Singapore cover corporate governance, ongoing legal business support and all activities regarding Daimler Truck’s compliance program for Anti-Trust, Anti-Corruption, Sanctions Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Protection and Human Rights Compliance. While you would be involved in most of these topics, your work would especially focus on supporting and coordinating the entity-specific implementation of Anti-Trust requirements as well as ensuring ongoing legal business support for both entities.

By providing and developing an effective and efficient Legal & Compliance program, You would help the company to enable business opportunities and you would protect the company and its people from harm! This include;

• Being a point of contact for Legal & Compliance related inquiries; if necessary, align within the Legal & Compliance Trucks Asia Team, other relevant parts of Daimler Truck’s global  Legal & Compliance organization, sales business partners or external law firms


• Support in ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in relation to all business conducts, monitor development of applicable national legal framework


• Support in corporate governance and ongoing legal business tasks (contract reviews, M&A transactions, regulatory matters, litigations and other legal disputes etc.)


• Creating and sustaining awareness and a common understanding of Legal & Compliance topics on local level through various means of communication and interactions


• Support and coordinate in Compliance risk assessments according to Daimler standards, effectiveness monitoring and reporting


• Support and coordinate the development of effective governance structures and procedures for Legal & Compliance oversight and management, including defined accountability for Legal & Compliance responsibilities


• Implementing and maintaining of processes, clear standards of business and ethical conduct consistent with Daimler corporate standards


• Supporting the local management in assuming and executing its responsibility to implement and maintain effective Legal & Compliance structures on unit level in accordance with corporate requirements and local laws and regulations


• Ensuring close communication and alignment with all relevant stakeholders


• Support and deliver effective communications and training on relevant requirements for both internal stakeholders as well as external business partners
