We are looking for the Legal Counsel of Legal Regulatory Prevention for Daimler Greater China Ltd.
The Legal Counsel of Legal Regulatory Prevention
- provides legal advice and legal service on legal regulatory prevention topics for Greater China. Legal regulatory prevention includes all product related legal topics, in particular product development, product safety, emission, certification, importation
- provides legal advice and legal service regards all topics in connection with Daimler’s technical compliance management system (“tCMS”), and takes an active role in cross-divisional tCMS Clearing Teams
- provides legal advice and legal service to: Daimler local legal teams at Greater China, Daimler Legal Headquarters, CEOs, functional heads of business units and other Daimler internal stakeholders (in particular R&D, homologation, certification)
- drafts, reviews, negotiates and advises on all kinds of legal documents, provides legal memos and opinions
- observes the development of legal developments and trends, in particular: legislation, jurisdiction, public authorities and government agencies. Takes care of proactive communication with stakeholders
- provides guidance in grey areas (in terms of legal requirements and/or internal guidelines).
- provides legal risk management strategy and aligns the strategy with the relevant stakeholders to enable Daimler and its employees to comply with legal requirements, including laws and government regulations
- develops programs, processes and measures for legal risk mitigation
- acts as point of contact for investigating authorities (prosecutors, stock exchange commissions, government authorities etc.), in alignment with the local legal teams and Daimler HQ
- represents Daimler in meetings with authorities and advises employees and management on rights and duties
- designs, develops and continuously improves: tCMS related policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures, and provide support in interpretation and implementation
- drives the implementation of Daimler global and regional initiatives on legal regulatory prevention and tCMS for Greater China
- selects, manages and supervises external lawyers. Ensures high quality of external legal support in an effectively and efficiently manner, including cost-efficiency
- develops training concepts and provides trainings, shares knowledge and best practices within Daimler legal teams
