Job Description

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Fluency in Mandarin (both written and spoken)
  • Minimum of 5 years working full-time as a journalist with well-known newspapers, magazines or other prestigious media
  • Law degree and some amount of experience working in a law firm environment
  • Strong portfolio of published articles demonstrating journalistic and interviewing skills
  • Self-starter; independent and motivated Highly organised and respectful of deadlines
  • Able to build networks and contacts quickly on behalf of the publication, be the local ambassador for the brand.
  • Team player, able to work closely with the team in Beijing and also with the regional offices spread across different cities in Asia
  • Commercial awareness; able to work closely with sales and support sales driven activities such as and not limited to, joint customer visits or calls

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • High degree of English-language skills (written and spoken)
  • Familiar with the legal publications in China and abroad
  • Familiar with content management systems
  • Proficient in use of WeChat and other social media tools
  • Understanding of publishing production cycles and timelines
