Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Legal Manager (Legal Services), the incumbent will assume the following:

• Provide legal advice for meeting needs of the TIA in performing its functions as specified in the Ordinance
• Provide legal advice to the Executive Office, the Board and the committees of the TIA
• Represent the TIA as its legal representative in various legal proceedings (including proceedings on disciplinary and appeal cases) as necessary
• Provide legal support in relation to the formulation, amendment, interpretation etc of the Ordinance and its subsidiary legislation, as well as the directives, codes of conduct, guidelines, administrative schemes etc of the TIA
• Keep abreast of latest legislative changes and the impact of their related matters on the TIA, and make recommendation as necessary
• Perform any other duties as assigned by seniors 

Requirements

• Holder of a law degree awarded in a common law jurisdiction and also a qualified Hong Kong lawyer
• At least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in the legal field
• Experience in disciplinary proceedings and/or regulatory work would be an advantage
• Strong command of written English and Chinese and fluent in spoken English and Cantonese
