Reporting to the Finace VP, this role will involve the following responsibilities:

• Be legal advisor for all local contracts for the company's China business, from standard contracts up to managing high value ICT contracts through an early involvement in the Deals

• Assist Sales by negotiating points of law with customer legal departments.

• Ensuring the regulatory topics within the Entity

• Displaying a keen appreciation of the critical factors of risk and compliance.

• Cooperation and Alignment with external Attorneys and law firms

• Contract management, encompassing contract negotiating, drafting and vetting, as well as management of contracts.

• Some involvement in litigation.

• Exhibit highly developed business acumen and excellent negotiation skills.

• Develop the legal desk in a professional, best in practice; put the framework of the legal desk into place. Elevate the standing of the legal function and ensure standards, policies, processes and procedures are established and streamlined.

• Align Legal to the business strategy and support the business in achieving its objective.

• Fluent bilingual in English and Mandarin, both oral and written; German language skills will be considered an asset.

• Intercultural Fit / Experience to work with State owned Enterprises as well as in Multi National Companies.

• Corporate Law PRC and regulatory knowledge PRC. Knowledge on HK law will be an advantage.

• Strong interpersonal skill: Taking responsibility for actions and people; taking the initiative and working under own direction; initiating and generating activity and introducing change into work processes; making quick, clear decisions which may include tough choices or considered risks.

• At least 3 years' experience in legal environment as attorney in practice (in Technology division) or in-house lawyer in ICT environment

• Preferably within a comparably high pace, complex ICTO environment or other suitable industries.

• Multinational and matrix organizational experience preferred.

• Knowledge of commercial law/contractual law/Telecommunication / Computing Services.

• Knowledge of drafting, vetting and negotiating contracts

• Knowledge of litigation, HR law, corporate; compliance management, risk management and PRC Law legislation
