SUMMARY
The License Compliance Sales Specialist II (LCSS) is responsible for creating opportunities to generate business through license compliance cases. At the same time, the LCSS is responsible for advising customers how to comply with the law on copyright and on Intellectual Property. The LCSS needs to give guidance or conduct commercial negotiations which leads to a resolution of the license compliance case. In this role, the LCSS will work closely together with legal, sales and other functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Identify suspected unauthorized users through different internal and external sources
- Contact the senior person of the suspected companies to explain the situation and request for a legalization action
- Set up discussions between our field sales and suspected companies to negotiate a commercial solution
- Assist and participate in enforcement actions with selected companies who refuse to comply
- Gather market information about license violation cases
- Work with legal team for any potential legal case discussion and initiate legal actions if necessary
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with a business or legal focus, OR the equivalent, which is at least 4 years within a similar role in a large multi-national company
- Must also have at least 3 years of work experience in a similar role
- Must possess at least 1 year of legal knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in the software industry
- Strong negotiation skill, communication skill, should be tough and sales driven
