This is done through the local implementation of regional Technical Regulation & Standardization strategies. The Siemens Corporate Function is a virtual function within Siemens UAE that is responsible for all legal and regulatory licensing obligations of Siemens entities with the UAE. What is your role? The Licensing and Technical Regulation Officer (LTRO) will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Siemens Industrial LLC in the UAE and have a hybrid role working within the Siemens Corporate Function under the instruction of the SCF Team Lead whilst independently setting and implementing the Technical Regulations & Standardization strategy for Siemens in the region. The LTRO will be the key liaison between crucial government departments throughout the region for the purpose of ensuring Siemens entities are at the forefront of regulatory compliance. The LTRO role will be responsible for UAE. Your Role - Challenging & Future Oriented! Define, set up, and implement a Technical Regulations & Standardization strategy for Siemens in the region in accordance with the guidelines and principles of its Global Strategic Standardization Strategy Produce consolidated reports on the Technical Regulations & Standardization strategies in place within each country and their respective impact on achieving technical compliance obligations throughout the region Ensure timely application, renewal, maintenance and amendments of all types of approvals, licenses and permits for the Companies and their business operations. Secure required approvals from various federal/local agencies and departments within minimum time frames Represent the Companies at various governmental and statutory bodies including Police Departments and any other such authority as needed Actively build contacts and relationships with key regulatory authorities for the facilitation and advancement of regulatorily compliant Siemens business throughout the region Actively seek out and keep up to date with regulatory announcements throughout the region ensuring timely incorporation and implementation where necessary into TR&S strategies and SCF processes. Keep up to date with internal policy circulars ensuring timely incorporation and implementation where necessary Continuously review internal process systems to identify shortcomings and recommend best practice solutions to increase efficiency and performance. Effectively show own development in professional expertise through on-the-job and formal training with a willingness to grow and expand the role. Your Qualifications & Skills - Digital and Solid! Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic. Strong background with a minimum of 5 years in similar position and a proven understanding of regulatory framework in various countries throughout the region Strong knowledge of government resources for up-to-date information on regulatory obligations and advance notice of proposed changes Knowledge of official government smart apps, online platforms and general e-government processes including electronic communication channels Must hold a valid UAE driving license. Effective interpersonal skills to successfully work with local and regional governmental agencies Great networking skills with a marked ability to effectively communicate between multiple skill and hierarchy levels Focused on problem solving and solutions orientated.
