We are looking for a Lifecycle Management (LCM) Marketing Director to lead commercial lifecycle strategy for a novel, first in class respiratory biologic product in late development. This role will join our Respiratory Biologics BioPharmaceutical Commercial team, reporting to the Global commercial VP of the product.

This role will lead the development of commercial plans to maximize the potential value of the product as they seek to expand the franchise to additional indications beyond asthma. The LCM director will work in collaboration with translational and clinical science to identify prospective opportunities, build patient centric strategic marketing plans and value propositions, advise on development strategy and create compelling business cases for investment decisions.

This role is expected to champion the product and LCM program and help build a franchise that will maximize long-term value and potential to help patients and health care professionals. They will work collaboratively with the commercial and project teams, as well as with regional commercial leaders and our collaboration partner to prepare new opportunities to grow the franchise. We are seeking a candidate with leadership potential who is looking to improve existing skills and develop higher-level capabilities.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with internal and external specialists to identify new opportunities
  • Lead development of business cases to support late stage development and commercial investment decisions including comprehensive insight generation, competitive evaluation, market analysis, forecasting and commercial modeling
  • Lead the development and execution of the franchise build strategy and brand strategy and positioning for new indications
  • Develop global activities for pre-launch and up to 3 years post launch including disease awareness and launch preparation plans
  • Lead key internal processes for LCM indications including long range planning and other key financial processes
  • Collaborate with partners in Pricing & Market Access, Global R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory and Operations
  • Map and engage global key external experts
  • Engage with regions and key markets to ensure launch readiness / commercial excellence
  • At times this role may include some responsibilities for asthma-related activities

Essential requirements:

  • Education: BA/BS is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical marketing and related roles with proven results in new product launches.

Desirable requirements:

  • An advanced degree (MBA or PhD) is preferred
  • Biologics and/or immunology experience, as well as in-country marketing and sales experience are preferred
  • Working knowledge of clinical trial / drug development process
  • Broad, global and in-country commercial experience including biologics pre-launch and launch
  • Strong strategic thinking, judgement and influencing skills to influence R&D to ensure strong commercial focus
  • Experience developing compelling business cases including forecasts and commercial investment requirements
  • Scientific acumen to collaborate with R&D to evaluate areas of differentiation to drive market leadership
  • Sufficient understanding of technical risks and the implications for the commercial aspects to future brands
  • Ability to build effective partnerships across functions and geographies
