Life Science Sales Engineer – South China


Location: Guangzhou、 Shenzhen or Shanghai

Andor Technology has made significant investment in the development of sales channels across China(currently the fastest growing region). Andor plans to continue this growth strategy with expectations over the next 5 years that it will grow revenue with a focus on the China research and corresponding high tech manufacturing markets.


MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB

This is a key appointment for the continued successful development of Andors rapid growth business. The appointed individual to Life Science Sales Engineer – south of China will assist in the development and execution of the strategy which will exploit the significant growth potential that exists within China for Research, Systems.

KEY TASKS AND DUTIES:

1.Develop and manage the implementation of the Research and Systems Sales Strategy in line with Business plans.

2.Organize and lead in marketing seminars, workshops, and activities to VIP customers at regional institutions

3. Develop & expand the Research and Systems direct and reseller network to ensure annual sales targets are achieved.

4.Provide high level market /competitive information contributing to the overall strategic direction of the Company.

5.Provide formal weekly & monthly reports on territories with accurate account of regional booking status and forecast.

6.Liaise with broader sales management team to ensure efficiency of regional operations and coherence of global operations.

7.Travel as required across China and to UK to build key business partnerships. Travel expectations are approx. 30-40% of time.

8.Any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by your line manager.


Person Specification

Training and Education

  • Scientific or Engineering Degree

  • Understanding of relevant scientific applications

  • Understanding of relevant technologies

  • Master degree or above is preferred

Experience

  • Candidates will be able to demonstrate extensive sales ability in the biophotonics or microscopy field.

  • Significant experience in designing channel infrastructure both direct and via distributors across China markets

  • Demonstrated ability in selling to end user customer base (research/scientific community)

  • Technical understanding of camera hardware, software SDK and integrated microscopy systems.

  • A strong network in relevant research & industrial communities to facilitate creation of new opportunities.
