Job Overview

The Mechatronics Engineering department combines mechanical and controls engineering, electronic hardware and software design, brakes, sensors, and electrical harness design. The Lighting and Controls Group within the Mechatronics Engineering department is responsible for Interior and Exterior lighting, HVAC and electrical switches. This position provides engineering support for interior lighting.

Responsibilities
- Support new PAR projects with Interior lighting designs


- Able to lead projects, coordinating with platform management, sales, and other departments


- Support current product designs and responding to plant issues in a timely manner


- Deliver on cost savings initiatives and customer requested designs


- Meet reliability and quality targets by analyzing issues and developing solutions to address field issues


- Support Product Validation Engineering by participating in test drives and analyzing vehicle data



 

Required Qualifications
 
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related degree or related fields from an accredited university/college required

- Knowledge of the practical application of electrical engineering design principles required

- Proven ability to apply technologies, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of electronics vehicle systems and components required

- Analysis of electrical/electronic circuits and loads required

- Develop conclusions from testing, summarization, and presentation of results required

- An attached resume is required



Preferred Qualifications
- Vehicle Controls Experience preferred

- Vehicle Network experience (CAN, LIN, Vector Tools) preferred
