Purpose of Job position

Converting source content into the target language content while ensure the target version conveys the concepts and the meaning of the source precisely, uses the relevant terminology and language register, is grammatically correct and produces user experience that is culturally relevant for the given target market.

Main Responsibilities

1. Using CAT tool environment, transfer the source content into the target language content while observing the rules and guidelines and terminology specified by the Client or generally applicable for target-culture/-market content.
2. Deliver target language content that conveys the source content meaning accurately, is grammatically and syntactically compliant with the target language rules, and uses language register relevant for content use case scenarios and purposes.
3. Understand deeply the requirements of the source content owner (Customer) as well as use case scenarios for the given locale and provide feedback and inputs needed for continuous improvements of source and / or guidelines and rules for target language content creation. 
4. Gather experience and learn new tools, technologies, best practices and techniques continuously to be able to adapt to new service requirements requested by the RWS Moravia production and/or Linguistic Services and Quality teams.
5. Collaborate closely with other team members, assigned in-country language owner and Linguistic Services Managers.
6. Share experience, knowledge and important findings and recommendations through defined collaboration channels and tools. Be active team player.
7. Continuously analyze the feedback provided by the assigned manager or the Customer and draw lessons learned for self-improvements.

Provide feedback to Linguistic Services Managers and/or assigned in-country language owner.  

 

Qualifications/Skills Include

1. Bachelor degree in translation or extensive experience in the field
2. Min 2+ years of translation experience
3. Proven delivery of quality content in a fast-paced environment
4. Native speaker in required language
5. Command of another language is an advantage
6. Fluent in English
7. Technically savvy
8. Good knowledge of MS Office    
9. Experienced user of CAT tool(s),Focus on solution and effectiveness, attention to detail,Focus on quality
10. Proactivity, commitment, accountability, responsiveness, "Client's requirements first" focus, Ability to work independently as well as in the team
11. Ability to prioritize (Customer's requirements over individual preferences; work assignments), Ability to deliver high-quality service under time pressure
