ABOUT THE ROLE:

As the Linguistic Services Manager, you will be part of a team that is fully dedicated to interesting and famous European client. You will work together with your colleagues and the production team in Brno. Your tasks will be focused on language quality management processes and linguistic quality to ensure our work is in-line with the needs of our client.

We are looking for a language-enthusiast person who is not afraid of every-day changes, is very organized and motivated to learn and develop. You’ll be working with many different language combinations and help us adapt the content we translate to different cultures. You will quickly get involved in many projects in which linguistic quality management processes are continually fine-tuned to excellence.

This is a part-time (4h/day) position.

 

WHAT WOULD YOU DO:

  • Provide linguistic services to the production team, the partners and the customer.
  • With the help of your direct manager, manage continuous and proactive development, design and implementation of quality management methodologies, special linguistic services (quality reporting and monitoring, vendor training, language asset development & maintenance, in the area of program language quality).
  • Deliver assigned linguistic services tasks (e.g. enforcement of linguistic guidelines, proactively manage quality across assigned languages).
  • Provide trainings to translators and assorted linguistic stakeholders, etc.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Linguistic education or previous experience in localization and/or linguistic quality is a huge advantage.
  • We need you to be an excellent communicator, as you will be in touch with the client on day-to-day basis. Previous work experience on a customer-facing role is therefore necessary.
  • Enthusiasm for world languages and cultures
  • Perfect command of spoken and written English – we are an international company and English is our work language
  • Very good skills with Microsoft Office software, especially MS Excel.
  • Very good coordinating and time-management skills – we handle numerous different projects at the same time, and you’ll need to be able to navigate between them.
  • Good problem resolution skills.
  • Capacity to work 4hours /day
