Responsibilities

• Support the availability, performance tuning, capacity planning, and buildout of OpenText IoT/IDM platform services

• Support patches, upgrades, and maintenance of OpenText IoT/IDM platform services

• Support the escalation of OpenText IoT/IDM platform services to other groups such as infrastructure architecture, Product Development, Professional Services, and/or external vendors

• Manage coordination between OpenText trading partners and vendors to support system-to-system integrations into our China region for connectivity to our products

• Support software defined network in our China region including VPCs, AWS ELB’s, and F5 Load Balancers

• Provide a quality and timely response to support incidents according to Service Level Agreements

• Act as a technical liaison with other teams to evaluate and report bugs

• Establish and maintain a good relationship with team members, Product Development, Customer Service and Sales

• Participate in training and information sharing activities

• Act as backup for other team members when necessary

• Participate in an on-call rotation requiring work over the weekend and afterhours

• May require off-shift working hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering or similar field

• Basic Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS\Azure\GCE\OpenStack)

• Basic Knowledge of the Linux operating system

• Previous experience with 3rd Party software installation and maintenance

• Must be a team player (positive attitude, willing to share knowledge with others, willing to learn, adaptable to change)

• Must have ability to learn new technologies quickly

• Must be extremely detailed oriented and meticulous

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment working on projects against strict deadlines

• Should have a Research & Development Mentality

• Strong understanding of ITIL principles, certification is a plus

• Diagnosing & troubleshooting user facing service incidents & outages

• The ability to understand and maintain scripting software

• Experience with installing and configuring Apache and Tomcat

• Exposure to and maintenance of configuration management tools at scale

• Diagnosing, resolving problems in high-throughput web applications & network services

• Customer-service oriented

• Proven problem solving and analytical ability

• Excellent organizational/time management skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

• Ability to lead, drive and implement highly scalable and complex solutions

• A good understanding of Security best practices

• A proven record of being able to work independently and collaboratively
