The Litho Strategic Sourcing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of lithography engineers. The overall responsibility of this position is to manage the lithography suppliers including the equipment toolsets from pilot introduction thru equipment maturity, ramping/sustaining, improvement, and end-of-life. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing team thru planning, coaching, and development, including both direct reports and a matrix international team.
- Leading the team to drive scanner improvement teams with TD/HVM and suppliers to resolve structural or isolated issues impacting availability, equipment downs, major technical issues, and total cost of ownership. Develop supplier management strategies to meet these goals and integrate into overall Intel supplier strategy.
- Developing strong supplier and partner (TD/FSM/Planning/Quality/Labs/Finance) relationships from individual contributor through corporate executive level across engineering and business disciplines. Able to distill clear accountability and using those to drive key programs.
- Partnering with TD/HVM and suppliers to understand world class performance levels, translate to Intel environment, and identify and drive opportunities to maximize Intel fleet productivity.
- Strong listening, influencing, leadership and relationship skills and experience driving complex cross-organizational issues and projects to resolution.
- Strong communication skills to translate Intel needs into supplier influence, and build relationships and drive change with employees, colleagues across the company, and suppliers.
- Ability to apply structured problem solving and system thinking to drive and solve high-impact and at-scale engineering problems within Intel's engineering ecosystem.
- High tolerance for ambiguity, ability to efficiently define concrete strategies and plans in such an environment
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
Candidate must possess a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, or related degree with a focus on microelectronics or semiconductors.
- 8+ years of experience in lithography equipment / systems development and/or supplier management, including technology development and supplier interactions
- 5+ years of team/people management experience in a matrix environment
Preferred qualifications:
- A combination of technical depth, industry acumen, organization savvy, and networking capabilities to get results across multiple groups, cultures, and disciplines.
- Serving as the owner of the relationship between and suppliers of lithography equipment in a variety of applications across multiple factories impacting the support of new scanner model insertion into internal systems.
- Understand extendibility and derivative technology requirements and drive configuration changes, upgrades, and optimize use of lithography asset base to meet future needs.
- Understanding capabilities and gaps of lithography equipment supply chain and defining strategies to develop a competitive advantage through our Technology Supply chain.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills aligned with intel culture and vision to produce technologies that enrich the lives of every human on Earth.

Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
