Job Description

As the Lithography Supply Chain High Volume Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for but not limited to: 

  

  • Lead scanner improvement teams with Technology Development (TD), High Volume Manufacturing (HVM), and DUV/EUV lithography equipment supplier as required to resolve systemic or isolated issues impacting availability, equipment downs, or major technical issues.

  • Partner with TD/HVM and suppliers to understand world-class performance levels, translate to Intel product and HVM environment, and identify and drive opportunities to maximize Intel fleet productivity.

  • Serve as the point of contact and owner of the relationship between Intel and suppliers of lithography processing equipment in a variety of applications across multiple factories impacting the support of new scanner model insertion into Pilot, Ramp, and HVM.

  • Align with supply chain, technology development, and manufacturing customers, negotiate revisions to purchase specifications, identify and address timeline or performance gaps, and drive the supplier and potentially sub-suppliers to execute quality and performance improvement programs.

  • Consistently know internal customer requirements and proactively deliver solutions to meet those needs.

  • Understand Intel technical requirements/ roadmaps and lead periodic formal program review meetings such as Operational, Site, and Technical Review Meetings, and process technology ramp readiness.

  • Monitor equipment health and drive systematic performance improvements.

  • Understand extendibility requirements as process matures and drive configuration changes, upgrades, etc. to meet future needs.

  • Define tool purchase and configuration specifications in partnership with TD, and work closely with senior business team to develop and execute commercial negotiation strategies.

  • Forge alliances across stakeholders and suppliers to pool resources and provide solutions that meet internal customer needs.

  • Can build relationships to influence Independent Contributors and Corporate Executives.

  • Some international and domestic travel required.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

The candidate must possess at least one of the following degrees plus the years of experience determined for each degree in the areas specified below:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics with 9+ years of experience.

  • Master's degree in Engineering or Physics with 6+ years of experience.

  • Ph.D. Degree in Engineering or Physics with 4+ years of experience.

Expertise areas:
 

  • Photolithography, scanner operation, equipment engineering, materials engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, and processing.

  • Lithography systems, light sources, and the management of suppliers who manufacture, sell, and support them.

  • Manufacturing and equipment data collection and analysis.

  • Leading suppliers and technical experts through data analysis to translate Intel data into lithography scanner performance requirements.

  • Creating and leading a project team through influence across organizational boundaries, driving team direction, synthesizing complex data streams from disparate sources, and executing decisions with a sense of urgency.

  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience in qualifying and sustaining scanners is desirable.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
