Objective of job
 
The Local Parts Evaluation Center (LPEC) is handling all sampling activities for local produced parts in China.
 
As Quality Engineer working in LPEC you are responsible for the coordination of all local sampling activities for purchased parts.
 
Among sampling activities, color and surface release of local purchased parts is done in LPEC. Therefore you are the expert to do the color evaluation, color matching and color optimization together with Designers, Quality Engineers and suppliers.
 
Main Task:
 
Process Management
- Coordination of sampling and part release activities
- Visual inspection of sample parts and sampling documentation
- Assignment of the testing activities
- Monitor the deadline of sampling cards
- Creation sampling report to issue series production release to suppliers
 
Evaluation and release
- Conduct color evaluation for ISIR sample;
- Participate color harmony workshop and onsite evaluation;
- Follow up color optimization together with designer, quality engineer and supplier
- Supporting color part new production technology development
 
Processes, Methods & Systems
- Definition and implementation of working methods and processes in LPEC
- Supporting the implementation of global sampling systems, methods and processes
- Coordination and definition of relevant processes to achieve the targets regarding quality planning and part release
- Coaching, guiding and training of peers regarding sampling processes, methods and systems
 
Project Management & Reporting
- Regular reporting of sampling status and escalation of critical topics
- Preparation of LPEC Shop floor Meetings and KPI reports
