Job Description
Working in partnership with the NSW Government, the Parklife Metro consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney. Comprising, Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens and Webuild, the private sector partners are looking to build their metro rail expertise to deliver this city-shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership model and will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney. Siemens as a D&C Contractor member will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to hire Local Project Interface Manager to work within Siemens Mobility team, based in our Sydney office. This is your role. What part will you play? In this role, your key responsibilities will include: You will be the single point of contact for all interface design, testing works with interfacing contractors and employer’s engineer. Should have complete understanding of CBTC technology and their working principles You should able to identify the sub-systems as well as the civil works and facilities with interfacing requirements You shall interface and liaise with Other Contractors to ensure the effective and compatible co-ordination of all aspects of the design, installation and testing of the Works. Recording and clarification of all interfacing requirements (e.g., interoperability) for a customer system taking into consideration contractual obligations Coordinating and integrating the design of rail components, including signalling, Telecom, RST, OHE, PSD, Track, Civil and E&M. We don’t need superheroes, just super minds. Should be familiar with EN 50126 and 50129 and their implementation in the solutions You have degree (Master/Bachelors) in technical engineering, preferably in electrical / electronic engineering with relevant experience Knowledge of design and construction management aspects of Railway Projects including interface and coordination with Stakeholders Why you’ll love working for Siemens Mobility We live and foster an ownership culture in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our Company's success.
