About the role:

We translate and localize products for the world’s leading companies so people around the globe can use them easily every day.

Localization Engineers coordinate the delivery of translation projects from our translators and proofreaders and prepare the files for translation. They communicate with everyone involved in the localization process. Interacting with vendors, distributing tasks, resolving problems, creating reports—this would be your job. On top of that, you will use your IT knowledge, learn more about localization technologies, and gain some project management skills.

What you would do:

• Cooperate closely with project managers and localization engineers and other departments within our company
• Coordinate the localization process: distribute tasks to our external translators and to your colleagues, collect final outputs, and solve problems, track deadlines, check the final quality of the translation
• Help us analyze our processes and find opportunities for improvement
• Communicate in English mostly via e-mail, but occasionally over phone too
• Learn more about technologies in localization (CAT tools, HTML/XML, etc.)
• Keep track of your work including creating reports

 

What you should have:

• Very good verbal and written English proficiency - you would be using English on everyday basis. 
• Czech language is not needed
• Some basic knowledge of HTML - you will need to be able to do some small corrections and amendments if needed
• Very good coordinational and organizational skills
• Proactivity and good communication skills
• Attention to detail, ability to improvise, solve problems and work independently
• Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Excel is a plus
• Possibility to work at least 20h/week
