Your tasks

• Leadership, organizational and financial planning and execution

• Supervision of the complete location team (engineering and central departments) to handle daily operation and specific customer projects

• Responsible for the definition and fulfillment of the financial targets of the location in terms of investment, revenue and profit

• Develop new business opportunities in conjunction with sales in an efficient and orderly manner to meet time and cost budgetary conditions

• Close contacts to government, universities and other public authorities in order to develop the location according to the business requirements

• Participate in preparing technical and cost proposals for new projects

• Supervise projects to ensure successful completion within the project budget and time. Assure compliance with all engineering standards. Assure that the development projects meets quality and customer requirements

• Ensure compliance to company policies and procedures

• Ensure the utilization of the test benches, establishing goals and job competencies, identifying and developing skill gaps, evaluation of resources, coaching on a continuous basis and evaluating performance.

• Create a location culture and metrics which support the principles of safety, quality, delivery, profit and growth

Your skills

• University degree in internal combustion engine or vehicle engineering or related educational background. Additional MBA is preferred but not a must

• In depth knowledge of powertrain development incl. development processes and methods

• At least 8 years working experience, min. 2 years working experience in team or large project management

• Able to organize and manage team and projects independently

• Strong communication skills in organizing, training, negotiating, coordinate and solve issues

• Strong sense of responsibility, very pro-active and solution oriented

• Several years of experience in studying or working abroad, alternatively working experience in a German/Chinese joint venture in China

• Excellent English language skills, German preferred
