Job Description
Job Summary The Logistics Specialist is responsible to validate and analyze deeply all domestic and international freight expenses, routes, Incoterms, Customer Complaints due transportation damage and specials logistics projects to improve the logistics chain for LIPE Power Systems business and its distribution center in the USA in order to detect unduly charges and work diligently with Finance team to assure the correct allocations. Also monitor and assure LIPE portfolio of products availability of certificate of origin to minimize duty charges related with our imports and exports and find opportunities to eliminate duties by passing resourcing projects to sourcing team. Job Responsibilities Analysis of inbound and outbound freight expenditure in its different modalities (Sea, road, air), brokerage fees and customs duties as well Responsible for detecting unduly freight charges in order notify to the finance team to get its charge back. Responsible to analyze the transportation efficiency in order to develop and implement an action plan to maximize the optimization Analyze the USMCA certificate of origin to identify part numbers pending to be qualified and request its analysis and certificate to GTM Corporate. Identify and notify to the Sourcing team those components that are taking out to our finished goods of USMCA qualification Analyze spend data and perform in depth financial analysis monthly in order to reflect it in the P&L Calculate and notify at the month end the accrual to be considered for logistics expense Ensure AEO and CTPAT sustainability #LI-SL4 Qualifications Qualifications Preferred education level: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Customs and Logistics related. Years and area of experience required: 3- 5 years’ experience in Logistics. Technical knowledge: Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel audit formulas and macros) , Microsoft Office Access knowledge is a plus, Auditing Skills, Knowledge of ERP transactions (SAP/Oracle), Ability to use a Customs Software, STA (Vastera) or equivalent Trade Management System, Fluent English Soft skills: GR, Accountability, Efficiency.
