Job Description
Eaton’s VGNA is currently seeking a Logistics Analyst & OSP Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Aguascalientes Facility. The Logistics Analyst & OSP Coordinator is responsible for: Follow up the import, export and domestics processes to get a complete record on every shipment associated with Eaton Aguascalientes, manage and control the regular and premium freight. Outsource planning and production schedule to release material for the product line. Coordinate domestics shipments Production level compliant according SIOP for outsourcing suppliers (Mexico) Some activities related with the position will be: Coordinate the import and export processes regarding operation such as dealing with carriers, sea freight lines, airfreight lines, freight forwarders and brokers in order to gel materials in a timely manner and ensuring accuracy and compliance to law requirements. Expedites and communicates schedule changes to appropriate personnel. Coordinate logistics carriers and drivers international and domestic freight. Look for the optimization on space/volume associated with each shipment in order to get cost reductions and cost avoidance in shipments. Keep up records of Premium freights and pursuit the involved areas on minimize Premium Freight to Zero. Identify processes of improvement opportunities with carriers, brokers, freight forwarders and suppliers of Logistics services in order to reduce lead time and cost out. Support Eaton Aguascalientes with import and export transactions at customs by ensuring the Import & Export documents are in compliance with Mexican and International regulations, record keeping, customs broker instructions, IMMEX management, PROSEC management, suppliers’ documents audit and OEA. Provide continuous status to involved areas (MRO, Planning) on shipments. Follow up of Supplier Performance (Outsource) and Notifies staff and appropriate personnel of potential and/or actual materials shortages that will impact customer production schedules or any freight cost change. Manage import and export transactions, its files and records to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations and provide regular reporting of compliance metrics in accordance with internal compliance SOPs and coordinate the Transport process for both domestic and international shipments by selecting the best-in-best supplier and according to the Incoterm agreed with our customers or suppliers. Actively participates in analyzing and maintaining appropriate inventory levels per customer specifications Analyzes material requirements; plans and initiates schedules to support customer production schedule and plans. Updates resource planning/tracking database to ensure customer ship schedules are on-time and on-schedule and Interfaces and assists suppliers in managing constraints, overcoming issues and planning corrective actions in order to attain 100% performance outcomes for supplier delivery systems. Create and distribute assembly schedules and review them with product line team members. Trained as a qualified backup for the Master Scheduler position to temporarily cover the main responsibilities of the position when the Master Scheduler is out of the plant and logistics as well. #LI-DS1 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Degree qualification in Foreign Trade or production control environment Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing environment, automotive preferred Strong Communication and negotiation skills Must be proactive and results oriented Working Knowledge of MRP / ERP system, Oracle as a plus Proficiency in Supply chain, Customs Law and Maquila Environment experience Ability to communicate in the English language (90%) required.
